Zucchini in oil are a versatile product suitable both for the presentation of tasty aperitifs and in combination with a plate of Tuscan cold cuts and quality cheeses. If necessary, they can also become a tasty side dish to accompany all kinds of meat but above all boiled.
Zucchini is a summer product that lends itself well to storage in jars, bringing the scents of summer back to the table for every season.
Rich in water and mineral salts, Bravi Andrea’s courgettes in oil are grown by farmers who are members of the Garfagnana Consortium, which works to enhance the territory and its products. The Garfagnana with its climate and its nutrient-rich soils allows to obtain high quality products that give great results even if preserved.
Conservation in oil was already known to the Romans and in the countryside, when there were no other ways of conservation, conservation in oil was a means to cope with the coldest years and preserve the abundance of the summer garden.
The word “preserve” comes from the meeting of two Latin words, “cum serbare” = “keep with”.
Bravi Andrea’s Zucchini in oil are prepared as if they were homemade. After washing they are blanched in water, vinegar and salt. Then the olive oil, parsley, garlic and a pinch of chilli are added. They are then sterilized to arrive safely on our tables with all their load of taste.
