Cheese with Pears

Do not tell the farmer how good the cheese with pears!
The custom of combining fruit with cheese is typically medieval; the oldest evidence of what seems to go back to France of the thirteenth century, is witness to an old French proverb much in vogue at the time: “Oncques Deus ne fist tel mariage comme de poire et de fromage”, or “God never made a marriage so successful as that between the pear and the cheese. “[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”Prodotti usati in questa ricetta” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left” use_theme_fonts=”yes”]
